Collection: Urban Life
Most of the world now lives in cities. They contain great beauty, great ugliness and a great deal of blandness. Visually they are a tsunami of information for an artist. Abstracting this to something meaningful about what is like to live in a particular city has to be one of the most challenging subjects for artists to capture. I certainly find it so. I live in Birmingham UK so this is what I find on my doorstep as my subject.
